feeding therapy services

In feeding therapy, occupational therapy practitioners work on identifying and addressing areas that may be impacting your child's ability to eat a well balanced diet. These areas of difficulty may be due to poor oral motor skills, sensory processing deficits and ability to self-regulate as well as behavioral concerns. Your child may benefit from feeding therapy if he/she presents with any of the concerns listed below.

Does your child.....

  • Eat a limited variety of foods?
  • Gag at mealtimes?
  • Pocket food in cheeks or under tongue?
  • Take a long time to chew food?
  • Have a meltdown during mealtimes especially when presented with new foods?
